The National Electricity Market's generation mix, by fuel type, over the last seven days against eight years of the same week, plus the three-month renewables-versus-fossil trend. Coal, gas, wind, solar, hydro and battery storage, kept in correct energy units and read against history rather than a bare snapshot.

Recent generation mix is a genuinely useful fact about the grid, but only once it is handled honestly. A headline renewable share that quietly sums a whole year of history looks current and market-wide while actually hiding both the season it was measured in and the states it happened to include. Fuel Mix exists to bound that number properly before showing it.
Every figure here is stated against an explicit period: the last seven days for the headline mix, roughly three months for the renewables-versus-fossil trend. Each is expressed in correct energy units (MWh, not MW), and separated cleanly from the longer structural trend, so a short-term swing is never mistaken for a change in the grid's direction. Battery storage is labelled as storage, not renewable generation, because it discharges energy rather than creating it.
The aim is market literacy, not a live feed. Data refresh weekly from AEMO's Dispatch SCADA and Generation Information register, and the page says so plainly rather than implying a real-time view it cannot honestly claim.
